Job Description – Electro-Mechanical Engineer (Cast Extrusion)

Position: Electro-Mechanical Engineer
Department: Production / Maintenance
Location: Oman

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Cast Extrusion machinery, with strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and automation systems. The role involves machine maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and continuous improvement of production equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Cast Extrusion machines and related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
• Ensure smooth operation and optimum performance of production machinery.
• Assist in machine installation, commissioning, and upgrades.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Maintain maintenance records and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with production teams to minimize machine downtime.
• Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance schedules.
• Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Cast Extrusion manufacturing and machinery maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems, electrical controls, motors, drives, and industrial automation.
• Experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in plastic packaging or film manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of extrusion process optimization and machine commissioning.
