We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our ambulance service business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and managing billing and reimbursement processes, particularly related to medical insurance claims.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Manage payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursement.
Handle medical billing and insurance claim processing for ambulance services.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Monitor expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.
Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
Work closely with operations and management teams to optimize financial performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA) is preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare or transportation sector.
Knowledge of medical billing and insurance claims is an advantage.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Tally or similar).
Strong understanding of tax laws, financial reporting, and cost control.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
